Anyone in the mood for some Soulful sounds as we head into the weekend? Master Jay has brought these feel good vibes today directly to our speaker with his new album, ‘Ta Jay.’
For the most part of 2024, Master Jay was silent in the release front. Changing the narrative, he’s here with this stunning collection of bangers and this one draws inspiration from the soulful side of the Amapiano music spectrum.
We first got a taste of Ta Jay when Gaba Cannal teased some tracks from it on his socials, catching the attention of fans. Later, Master Jay included several tracks in his sets and mixes, which further fueled anticipation for the album — not to mention his release of iNtliziyo with Zain SA. Today, the producer finally ended the long wait with the album’s official release.
With the full release of the album, Master Jay expands upon the already impressive catalog, developing his signature soulful sound into something that is more diverse, embracing both the old and new side of Amapiano.
The album holds 14 tracks and it has supports from the likes Xavi Yentin, Moscow on Keyz, Mr Maker, Villosoul, El Stephano, Tumza D’Kota, Djy Jaivane and Gaba Canal. This album is well cooked and it’s a project that gracefully blurs the lines between the various sub-sounds of Amapiano.
