We knew 7 track was too small numbers to make a project that is being cooked by a legend such as Mdu aka TRP. With lots of undeclared bangers locked under his hard disk, we have always expected a minimum of 10-track whenever he pushes an album and he did just with the extension of “The Vault EP” through its Deluxe Edition.
Nobody in the current Amapiano dispensation is capable of ever matching the production essence of Mdu Aka TRP. The man has made a name for himself. From his introduction of log drums to his boundary-pushing productions and acclaimed mixes, he’s a powerhouse dedicated to both his craft and maintaining the dominance of Amapiano in the South African music space.
Giving his recently released “The Vault EP,” he has returned with this album extension via this Deluxe release and this one comes with an additional 5 whooping tracks, all produced by Mdu aka TRP with production assistance from a couple of his PianoHub mates.
“The Vault EP (Deluxe Edition)” has vocals from Thatohatsi, Tracy & Mashudu, and the output looks more like a culmination of years spent refining his craft, showcasing Mdu aka TRP’s ability to push the boundaries of his own sonic identity while honoring the true essence of Amapiano and going back to its roots.
