There’s a fine line between traditional charge Zulu melodies and classic Maskandi vibes, and Mjolisi & Nolly M’s latest single track “IThemba” dances on that boundary with finesse.
Nolly M is no newcomer to the SA music s scene. The vocalist is known for her vast vocal range and since her burst into the mainstream, she has has worked with some of the finest names, releasing and engineering tracks that has dominated the airwaves and charts. Mjolisi on the other hand is no baby player, the man is one of the few who revolutionised the Maskandi sound to something we all enjoy at the moment.
Coming together for a perfect record they are here with this fine track and guys, Mjolisi & Nolly M absolutely killed it with the melody and harmony, showing they can still create fresh, beautiful music despite coming from a slightly different root.
