I love it when artists express the depth of their craft and such great experience is what we feel once again with this one from Mthunzi & Sfundo called “Amaningi.”
The numbers of hits Mthunzi has given the South African music scene since his emergence a couple of years ago is long and an essential. Today, the notorious hitmaker is back with another record, his last release for the year and this one continues the rapid and colorful expansion of the his sound, utilizing the sweet melodies of the 3Step sound.
This track is a collaboration with Sfundo, a rising producer whose immersive sounds have garnered a dedicated fanbase nationwide.
“Amaningi” build on the signature sounds and styles of Mthunzi that has been captivating listeners for a while now. It is always refreshing to see a musician in the current music dispensation who not only expand his or her sound, but explores musical styles that are not common but has the potentials of redefining the scene and this track from Mthunzi is an example of such.
