By now, you should have heard the news of Murumba Pitch splitting up. Comprising Thabang Innocent Mangolo and Emmanuel Nanga Mathye, the duo is a hybrid group specializing in both production and vocals.
While Emmanuel Mathye handled the production aspect, Maeywon handled the vocal side of the group and together they conquered dancefloors and charts across South Africa and the whole of the African continent.
A couple of weeks ago, the group surprised their fans with the announcement of their split. While most of their followers never expected the group to divide too soon, we have always anticipated something of such nature occuring. It has become somehow a tradition for music groups to split up the moment they attain fame. We have seen this with many artists in the past and so have prepared our minds for the inevitable.
Pushing his solo brand, one half of the music group, Maeywon has just announced his first single as a solo and independent artists and this one will be released via “Hello” that is expected to hit stores April 16.
One surprising thing about Maeywon pushing solo is that he’s still flying under the Murumba Pitch brand. For now, we can’t say why this is so but we hope to get better clarifications later.
