Sjavas Da Deejay is an Amapiano music producer deserving of sitting in a category all his own. As a producer seeking to make a permanent mark in the scene, he mastered the craft of using Kota and the hardcore side of Private school piano sounds to his advantage in the making of his own soundscapes that has dominated the South African music space for years now.
He’s not a new age producer, but one of the builder and pioneer of the Amapiano sound. While he only gained relevance just a couple of years ago, he has been working hard underground and some of his productions was what gave Amapiano an edge at a time when only few producers were paying attention to the sound. Beyond his production skills, SjavasDaDeejay brings similar enthusiasm and talent to his work behind the decks, using his dynamic energy to create really powerful sets and addictive mixes.
“Woza” is the latest from him and this one taps on the vocal talents of Sax De Vocalist and production skills of Syfred Mckay. And together, these artists bring a style to the Amapiano space that carries a soulful weight with infectious melodies and modern production.
