Al Xapo & Benzoo’s joint EP, “Escape Plan: New Age Heist EP,” has reached 50 million combined streams across all digital stores.
The EP is made up of seven tracks and includes notable bangers, “Snokonoko” with Eeque and “Fosta Fosta” with OptimistMusicZA. The tracks on this EP leaned into high-energy, sweaty club vibes, marking a big shift in the sound that has been made available in the Amapiano mainstream. And it was not so surprising to see that they were widely accepted by fans of the genre.
Now, just three months after the release of the EP, it has amassed a combined 50 million streams across all digital platforms, and deep down, we know the “Snokonoko” single contributed hugely to more than half of these numbers.
As a project that exposes us to the sonic range that Al Xapo & Benzoo have been exploring lately, the numbers will continue to swell, and we trust it to dominate the year’s festive dancefloor.
