Babomncane & Sgwebo Sentambo have delivered their collaborative album, Sekukaningi, and this one is saturated with traditional flavours and full of grit, craving to be listened to.
Despite having not been in the Maskandi mainstream for a long time, Babomncane has really made a big identity for himself, and he is surely not slowing down anytime soon. Continuing to increase his worth in the scene, he has teamed up with Sgwebo Sentambo for this 13-track album called “Sekukaningi.”
“Sekukaningi” is not just any album; it is a well-crafted work of art that takes us to the depth of the Maskandi scene, the traditional Zulu influence of the sounds, as well as a rhythm that is infectious. We say this because we have listened to the tracks on this project, especially “Bhinca Lami” with Njabulo Langa, and they are the type of releases that have attracted many of us to Maskandi.
“Sekukaningi” is out everywhere, and for both Babomncane & Sgwebo Sentambo, this release enhances their catalogs and connects two key figures in Maskandi music.
