In the past, Gqom was tactically pushed down from the South African mainstream charts. But not any longer, as there has been a resurgence within the Gqom scene, with artists pushing out refined bangers. One banger appearing on our radar this moment is this one from Bello B & Dladla Mshunqisi called “Bethii Bethii.”
A collaboration with Anathii Deejay & Frostiano, “Bethii Bethii” is the lead song on Bello B’s recently released EP, Trend After Trend.
Bello B is no small name in the Gqom scene. Having garnered attention over the years through bangers like “Dubai” with We Dem Boyz and “Nanka Amaphoyisa” with Naked Souls DBN, Okhandashisa, Metro SA, Pcee & Chley, he continues paving an exciting musical journey, focusing all of his energy on ensuring Gqom gets represented in the South African music mainstream, and so far, his work has been felt across the board.
Getting us the perfect vibe for the coming festivities, he has just delivered “Bethii Bethii,” a song with Dladla Mshunqisi, Anathii Deejay & Frostiano that reminds us of the original flavours of Gqom: heavy bass and drums. Take a dose below!
