Groove Cartel has given us another solid Amapiano mixtape for us to feast on and this one is done in collaboration with Benzoo.
Who really is the sound of Benzoo? There has been a lot of speculation about this, especially since his *’Snokonoko’* single with Al Xapo and EeQue went viral on the global music scene. But without exploring a huge part of his catalogue, the question becomes difficult to answer. Thankfully, he’s now unpacking a larger part of his soundscape through projects and mixes.
Today, he has delivered a solid mixtape courtesy of the Groove Cartel sessions, and this one sees him weaving together some of his singalong-ready verse work with raw Amapiano instrumental arrangements. The result is one of the tastiest mixes we’ve heard so far from the music platform.
This mixtape sees Benzoo perform some of his well-known hits, alongside several unpublished tracks that are expected to hit streaming stores soon. So, here goes the answer to the question many have been asking for months now: the sound of Benzoo is one that blends the many spectrums of Amapiano, and this mixtape proves it.
