Of the tree tracks that made it to De Niakeyz’s album, “Salamina” seems to be our favourite, maybe it’s because it boast of expensive features in the likes of Tribby Wadi Bhozza, Mckay Johnson & KayyKayy Production, or just maybe it’s finely cooked, whatever it is, you are about to find out yourself.
There are many young faces bursting into the Lekompo mainstream every now and then, and if you are not keeping tabs on these young talents, you’d lose touch with some really great talent and music. Talking about fresh faces, one artist that is holding his forte and bringing new steeze to everything Lekompo is De Niakeyz.
With just a few moments in the scene, he has been able to develop a really impressive sonic sound whose wingspan stretches far beyond any known Lekompo style. Introducing these proper soundscapes to the larger Lekompo audience while also solidifying the few gains he has made over the past couple of months, he has returned to us with “Salamina.”
“Salamina” is one of the three songs on his “My Story EP,” and not to discredit the two other tracks on the project, this one does a whole perfect summation of his craft and artistry.
