The weekend is about to get interesting as Focalistic, Optimist Music ZA, Benzoo, Mellow & Sleazy have just delivered their long awaited song, “Gumba Fire” which featured Mr JazziQ.
I like the changes that South African music has undergone. Before now, when songs are teased and trended on charts, artists hold on to the official release, sometimes pushing it to the next year. Most of the time, before the official release gets on stores, the trend and desire for the song have slowed down.
The reason this happened was because they intended to make their set utterly unique. By playing these songs on their set, listeners become so interested in their gigs. But there is a downside to this, which we discussed above. Now, producers and artists have found a balance, as we can see with Focalistic, Optimist Music ZA, Benzoo, Mellow & Sleazy’s single, “Gumba Fire.”
