The wait is finally over as Dj Jaivane and Zem SA have finally released their long awaited collaboration, “Ibele.”
There is a lot to expect from DJ Jaivane this Ember month. In October, he will be releasing his third studio album, and after that, he is expected to release a mixtape. As tradition demands, he is giving us a taste of what is to come on his Mended Pieces album with this soulful single with Zem SA called “Ibele.”
Purely instrumental, “Ibele” reminds us of what Amapiano used to be, which is a pure combination of log drums, percussive chords, soft synths, and a heavy bass, a sound culture that is beginning to fade in recent times, but being a pioneer of the Amapiano sound, it’s the duty of legends like DJ Jaivane to always remind us of what the sound used to be, too.
“Ibele” is a collaboration with Zem SA, and this one was certainly made for the heavy gatherings and heavy-duty speakers and sound systems, and we’re looking forward to hearing it rinsed through clubs and dancefloors throughout the remaining months of the year.
