There is this special feelings you get when your favourites align for a collaborative work. This is how we just feel in this newest delivery from Earful Soul, Sabz & Kabza De Small called “Sibiziwe.”
The unification of the South African music scene is a gradual process. Bringing the many sub-sounds and major genres under one roof takes time, but it is already happening. Many may not be aware of it, but if you pay close enough attention, you’ll begin to notice the shift.
The first two sounds bridging this gap are Amapiano and House music. As two of the biggest genres in South Africa—where many leading sounds and sub-sounds originate, this development is significant. One artist leading this movement is Kabza De Small. In recent months, he has aligned himself with a range of Afro-pop, soulful house, and 3-Step producers.
Now, he has teamed up with Earful Soul and Sabz for a mini collection of bangers titled “Sibiziwe.” The project features two tracks: “Empilweni” featuring Pcee and “Papta Swing.”
