Kelvin Momo joins the Somnyama Sunset session gangs with this 34th episode that is mostly a combination of Deep House and Amapiano melodies.

Kelvin Momo is not only the king of Amapiano but also a defender of the sound. Over the past couple of years, the producer has delivered solid soulful entries that continue to cement him as a unique figure in the South African music scene, and today, he is back with a new heavyweight compilation that only reinforces this further.

If you have followed the Somnyama Sunset sessions by Dark Horse, you’d agree with me that he is bridging the gap that exists between House music, especially Deep House, and sounds from other genres such as Amapiano. He does this by bringing talents from these genres to the Somnyama Sunset decks and allowing them to use their Amapiano experience to craft Deep House melodies.

What this has resulted in is a collection of Deep House mixes that are deep in every sense while also carrying the flavour of Soulful Piano. Today, he hosts Kelvin Momo for Somnyama Sunset 034, and contrary to what he usually has producers and DJs from outside the Deep House scene do, he allows Kelvin Momo to curate both Deep House and Amapiano melodies.
