Limpopo Boy has issues and apologised for his inappropriate behaviour with married woman Matshidiso Matilda.
The apology statement came after brands began cancelling endorsement deals that they had secured with him, and rightly so, that was the right thing to do because Limpopo Boy hangs around with teens, and what moral obligation does he pose to them when he is caught having an affair with a married woman?
In the statement, Limpopo Boy, real name Matome Robert Mahlatse Thoka, said he takes full responsibility for his actions, and that he was raised in a good family with Christian values to honour the values and sanctity of marriage, abhors adultery or infidelity, and believes in the values of family and marriage. He claimed he never knew Matshidiso Matilda was a married woman, else he wouldn’t have had anything with her.
“To the people of South Africa, I am writing this with a deeply humbled and heavy heart. I know that what has happened has caused pain, anger, disappointment and many difficult emotions. I have heard the voices of South Africans, and l understand that many people have been affected by what has unfolded. I want to take this opportunity to put matters into perspective without being defensive and show remorse for my poor judgement. I have been raised by a Christian family which respects the sanctity of marriage, abhors adultery or infidelity and believes in the values of family and marriage. I only discovered after the video was leaked that she was married. I should have independently verified her marital status before sharing a private moment with her. Instead of doing that, I threw caution to the wind and I’m now paying the price for my poor judgement. For that, I am truly sorry. I profoundly apologise for my omission . I want to apologise in particular to the Shai family for the tremendous pain I have put them through. That’s not how I was raised. I’m not a home wrecker.” Parts of the statement reads.
Initially, Limpopo Boy has threatened to arrest those behind the release of the private video, but his tone is changing, maybe a sign of him being remorseful.
