As much as Sgidongo has gotten the attention of almost every players in the Amapiano music scene, there is still a lot pioneers of the sub-genre have to do to get it into the music mainstream and thankfully, Lowbass Djy, ShakaMan YKTV & Hotfurze aren’t sleeping on that.
Most people think that just because a sound is popular, it must be the top genre in the country. In reality, this is far from the truth. For a subgenre to solidify its position in the competitive music mainstream, it has to maintain its streak, consistently topping the charts. If it doesn’t, it will be forgotten as quickly as it appeared. In the last five years alone, we can’t count how many subgenres have come and gone.
Lowbass Djy, ShakaMan YKTV & Hotfurze understand this hard reality, that is why they are consistently pushing, releasing more songs and accepting sessions, all in a bid to give Sgidongo more attention and popularity. Over they weekend, they aligned with Spirit Fest session for the 112 episode of their weekly series and on this one, they spat fire.
The tape is an amalgamation of their individual sounds, resulting in a compilation that offers energetic sounds and high energy vibes.
