An artist doesn’t need to stay long in the scene to know his debut EP will be a bang. We have followed Malibongwe for some months now and have seen his doings, craft, and artistry, and from all that we have experienced firsthand from his corner, especially the offerings he has done with Maskandi big names, it has made us build this big confidence in his sound, and we were not wrong to believe his debut EP, “Ngiyababa,” would be a bang.
Featuring just 5 tracks and boasting collaborations from Maskandi superstars like Usduh Dladla, Umnotho, Mjabulisi & Jikijiki, “Ngiyababa” was able to radiate those raw Maskandi flavours that you simply just can’t resist, especially when it is being played on a dope sound system.
This EP is just made up of a small five tracks, but regardless, they are well-cooked, and because of this fact, when playing the whole EP, each piece beautifully complements the last, while in turn framing the next. For a fresh talent, this EP is really a powerful work of art!
