Mashelela promised and he delivered! Today, we are happy to unveil his newest collection of bangers, “Imbongolo Yishende.”
Albums are supposed to tell a story. With the first track serving as the intro and the rest detailing events that eventually all connect like dots. But modern albums are missing this beautiful work of art, with many being released having tracks that have broken flows and unrelated rhythms as each track progresses to the next. Well, such an abnormality is not possible to last that very long, and we are thankful that figures like Mashelela exist to give us just that perfect album that is melodious and tells a detailed and cohesive story through one of the biggest sounds that has been bestowed upon South Africans, Maskandi.
Today, he surprises us with this 17-track album, “Imbongolo Yishende,” and each track carries elements that will command the modern dancefloor with roaring vibes and contemporary arrangements.
