Mduduzi Ncube has announced his departure from Inkabi Records. The artists made the revelation in a statement that was both signed by him and the management of the label.
Mduduzi Ncube was signed to Inkabi Records by Big Zulu in 2020. Since his emergence on the scene, he has delivered several stunning bangers such as “Isiginci” featuring Big Zulu, “Langa Linye” with Zakwe and Zamo Cofi, “Dear Ex Yami” featuring Fanatic SA, Stallin Matsitsa, Caeser, and Ayanda Art, among many others.
Notorious for combining the best elements of Pop, Jazz, and Maskandi, he has been able to release some of the finest Afro-soul records the scene has ever seen.
Now, with a solid presence built and his brand well established, he is seeking to fly solo. Rather than leaving Inkabi Records in bad faith, he departs with healthy relationships, and the label has officially released him from his recording contract, effective 5 March 2026.
As stated in his contract, upon termination, all of Mduduzi Ncube’s recordings released under Inkabi Records will remain the property of Inkabi Records as the copyright and master rights holder. Mduduzi will continue to earn royalties from all recordings released under Inkabi Records.
