Dark Horse is bringing out the beast in some of our favourites and we are loving it. Today, they host Mr JazziQ for the 31st episode of the Somnyama Sunset series and this one is titled “Old School Deep House Mix.”
When people invite veterans of a genre to their podcasts, they usually let them play the genre they became known for. But not Dark Horse. The man is a Deep House fanatic, and he’s notorious for ensuring that all DJs who mount the Somnyama Sunset decks and turntables play nothing but Deep House melodies.
Even Amapiano veterans, whom many thought wouldn’t survive on a Deep House battleground, are flourishing and making a killing. And we all have Dark Horse to thank for that. The other day, they hosted Kabza De Small, and he gave us one of the finest Deep House sets we have ever experienced. Just now, they have hosted Mr JazziQ for another lavish episode.
This newest edition, delivered by Mr JazziQ, saw the Black Is Brown record label boss spin a collection of old-school Deep House melodies. Well, this is expected, as the producer has years of experience, and he ensures he uses that to create a seamless flow of melodies, achieving a refined balance of old-school charm and modern energy that lures the audience and keeps them locked in for over an hour.
