Mr Shane SA has given us another reason why we should remain a dedicated follower of his sounds with his delivery of “For a Reason (1060 Sounds Remake).”
Mixes and remixes are the two pillars of House music in South Africa, at least that was what we thought until recently, when new-age producers started deviating from the norms that made the sound one of the most widely accepted in the competitive South African industry.
In the old days, producers casually picked some old and forgotten songs, sometimes from their own graveyard of unpublished and published bangers or from trending songs by other artists from the past. These figures took the old records, looked at what had made them fall off the trends table, then reworked and rewired their melodies through Deep House trends. This way, these old songs were brought back to life, and everyone was happy.
