Mthandeni SK has delivered a new collection of bangers that is sure to ignite dance floors and festival main stages for years to come. Out everywhere is “Easy Target.”
Mthandeni SK is the king of the Maskandi sound, and this is not debatable. His catalog is the most robust amongst all Maskandi artists, and the numbers he has amassed on these catalogs can’t be matched by any in the whole of the South African industry. Not even artists and producers from the Amapiano realm can match his numbers and streams, except maybe international superstars like Tyla.
As a king of Maskandi and a representative of the sound, a lot falls on his shoulders to keep the genre flowing and flourishing with solid offerings, and to this length and extent, he has delivered to us an 11-track album, “Easy Target.”
“Easy Target” is an album that takes us on a healing journey, and this one sees Mthandeni SK bring in his storytelling skills, using his Zulu flair and skills and the traditional rhythm offered by the Maskandi sound to tell stories of love, emotions, life challenges, family, work, friendships, and betrayal, all stories told on their respective tracks on the album.
Most tracks on this album were solely made by Mthandeni SK, with the exception of two tracks that had features from Jaiva Zimnike and Sne Ntuli, respectively.
