Powerful storytelling and the matter of the heart is what Mzukulu’s newest EP is all about. Out today is “Ubumina.”
In the whole of the Maskandi music scene, only a few can match the essence of uMzukulu. Heck, the artist has been carving his way to the top of the echelon with an innovative approach, in which he brings storytelling into every beat and rhythm, as we are about to experience in this newest EP.
Continuing to put forward an ever-evolving signature sound, he delivered a short piece of melodies via “Ubumina.” Although the tracks on this EP are just a small amount, these 5 tracks were carefully crafted and made to bring out something inside in you. Well, this is what Maskandi productions are supposed to do, just that a lot are missing its essence and derailing from its true purpose. But thankfully, figures like Mzukulu are still here to keep all standards.
This EP is small, and so it was easier for us to listen to every track on it, and one song at the moment that has had us in a chokehold is “Isesheli” with OmaThwala.
