There are only a handful of artists in the Maskandi scene that is as versatile as Nsika Biyela and he proves that once again with his newest EP, “Ayifihleki.”
Most Maskandi projects are usually produced with the support of various talents. The person who does background vocals won’t be the same person who produces the beat, and the producer won’t usually be the composer, and in many instances, the vocalists won’t be the same as the lyricist. But Nsika Biyela has defied all of these rules.
Most of his productions since he began his professional music journey have always been made by him. In all of his releases, he often doubles as the composer, producer, vocalist, lyricist and sound engineer, a feat not many in the Maskandi music scene could pull, and this here is why he has remained a standout figure in the industry.
Dropping his last project for the year, he has delivered to us “Ayifihleki,” a 5-track EP, and listening to this one, one standout that has captured our attention is “Ufuna Ngenzeni.” Take a bite below!
