Phangandawo & Thembani are the next big thing to happen in the Maskandi scene. With a playful and unapologetic sound of their own, they continue to break their way through the charts, and today, they have returned once more with another solid collection of bangers, “Ngibonile Othandweni.”
“Ngibonile Othandweni” is made up of three unique songs that are made by interweaving rhythms made with guitar bass, stunning vocals, powerful keyboard elements, and some traditional chants that hit the ears in satisfying places.
This EP is mostly a rollercoaster of emotive and soulful storytelling, and our favourite on this EP is “Umaqondana.” Not to mean other songs on this EP aren’t melodious, heck, I would be damn wrong, but when it comes to a song of the three that has just that perfect delivery, then “Umaqondana” will always be our pick.
Overall, “Ngibonile Othandweni” is perfect, and sincerely, guys, I can’t hear about a calendar. It’s December now!
