SGVO has opened his “Afro Archives,” letting go of melodies that takes on all sorts of emotions while upholding the true House House essence.
I love the evolution that is sweeping through the Afro Tech & House music scene. Gone are the days when producers kept productions to themselves; now, artists are open to collaboration, even on experimental sounds, and they embrace whatever changes such collaborations bring, and the benefit of all of this is a series of fresh sounds that are hard to resist.
Continuing with this spirit of collaboration, SGVO has returned with this 5-track EP that sees him open the vault of his Afro House experience to accommodate the expertise of Shakes & Les, Artwork Sounds, Young Stunna, Tycoon, Makhanj, 2woBunnies, Pandemic Boyz, Mellow & Sleazy, Scotts Maphuma, Royal MusiQ, and Benzoo. And the result is a collection of bangers you can’t miss.
We are impressed with what SGVO did on “Afro Archives,” especially when you consider the fact that all tracks on the EP were his recent experimentations with Afro House and Afro Tech, not to mention how he made every collaboration worth the while.
