Like we said yesterday, a combination of Siya Ntuli and Khuzani on a track will always be a recipe for a dancefloor banger, and this is true for “Impilo yam.”
The fusion of AfroPop and Maskandi is not something we thought would work and eventually become a perfect combination. But Inkabi Records made that possible, and after listening to some of the productions they have created with Maskandi titans like Khuzani, you begin to ask yourself: Why aren’t we getting more collaborations like these, considering they seem like a match made in heaven?
“Impilo Yam” is the latest offering from the record label, and this one fuses the traditional rhythms that Khuzani brings through his Maskandi roots with Siya Ntuli’s energetic AfroPop influences. The result is a track that is a must-listen for both seasoned Maskandi and AfroPop enthusiasts, as well as newcomers eager to experience the magic and range of these genres.
“Impilo Yam” is only a taste of what is to come from the duo, as they still have plenty of bangers up their sleeves that will be hitting the shelves soon.
