Skhenqe has kept to his promise of releasing a mini project that his concise and melodious. Out from his stables is “iDeath warranty.”
If you sleep on the young talents in the Maskandi scene, then you sure are not getting the best out of the sound. This is not to say the established and veterans in the scene are not keeping up with the essence of the sound, but there is this flair, creativity, and wild exploration that young artists usually fuse into the traditional Zulu melodies that are the bedrock of Maskandi that have made their offerings somewhat unique.
Proving he is a great resource and addition to the Maskandi sound, Skhenqe has returned with this 3-track project, iDeath Warranty, and just like we said earlier, this one saw the young talent expose us to a new melodic range that we can extract from Maskandi that many haven’t thought of in a long while.
“iDeath Warranty” includes his current chart-topping song, “Izinsalela,” and the other two songs on the album are just as melodious!
