Albums are more than just the music they contain; if you pay close attention to details such as the artwork, you can better understand the true essence and purpose of an album.
A couple of days back, Young Stunna revealed the artwork of his next studio album. With no album title or even release date, fans were kept in the dark. Well, that ends now, as the vocalist has given a thorough breakdown of the album’s artwork.
To be titled “The Life & Energy,” this album and its accompanying artwork are a visual representation of Young Stunna’s journey, with the cross being a representation of his Christian faith and belief in the gospel of God, and the lightning a representation of his energy. When you fuse these two elements together, you have a cross with a lightning texture and edges, and this is what you get in the artwork. In summary, the album is a summation of what he has survived, learned, transformed, and become.
“I designed & named this icon, “THE LIFE & ENERGY.” The Life & Energy Cross is the visual representation of my journey. The cross is my faith, the lightning is my energy, and everything together represents what I’ve survived, learned, transformed and become. To me, this is more than just an icon,” Young Stunna stated in a post that explains the album’s artwork.
He further broke it down, revealing that the cross represents Life, Faith, humility, Belief, and strength. While the lightning represents energy, the force within him that keeps him going even in the face of big challenges.
“The Cross represents Impilo (life), Ukukholwa ku’Nkulunkulu (Faith), Ukuzithoba (Humility), Ukholo (Belief) and Amandla wokuphila (strength) to keep moving, even when the journey gets uncomfortable. The lightning represents Amandla (energy), the strong force within me, the fire that keeps me creating, growing, believing and becoming,” he further added.
The release date for this album hasn’t yet been fixed, but we suspect that it will drop in the next couple of weeks.
