The tribute mixes for the late legendary producer, DJ Msaro have started rolling in. First in the order is this one from TribeSoul called “Selektive Sessions 024 Mix (Tribute To Msaro).”
Life is very fragile. One moment we are here, and the next moment, we are no longer here. The news of Msaro’s death came as a big surprise to us all and left a void I don’t believe any deejay or producer can easily fill. As one of the most underrated deejays and producers around, he blessed souls. While his hands touched the decks, his soulful sounds touched these streets.
Although his major forte was in the mastering and concoction of sounds behind the decks, Msaro was also a refined producer. As a deejay, he didn’t just play music; he gave us life, groove, and a sound that acted as a sanctuary to many troubled souls.
Paying his last respects to his respected colleague and piano legend, Tribesoul has dedicated the 24th episode of his signature Selektive Sessions mixtape series to this tribute mixtape. Running for 80 minutes, this compilation features some of Msaro’s finest productions.
From Soweto to the world, Msaro’s beat lives on! May his soul rest in perfect peace.
