Collaborations with other African A-lister with our very own local talents always results to a proper banger and this one from Diamond Platnumz, Xduppy, Dj Maphorisa, Focalistic, Uncool MC & Angekebabuye MC entitled “Tse Monate” is no different from such made in melodic heavens combinations.
For Amapiano to fully capture and dominate the African music scene, talents in Mzansi need to collaborate with artists from other countries. For example, Amapiano only began penetrating Nigerian airwaves after artists from the country started jumping on the Amapiano train and adding their own flavour to it. Global stars like Asake, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, just to mention a few, were instrumental in spreading the gospel of Amapiano to every corner of Nigeria, not just Lagos.
In Tanzania, where Afrobeat and Afropop still reign supreme, Amapiano’s full penetration of the music scene requires our own Amapiano voices and figures to align and work with the country’s leading artists. And this is exactly what Xduppy, DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, Uncool MC, and Angekebabuye MC have just done with their latest collaboration with Diamond Platnumz on “Tse Monate.”
It is not the first time Diamond Platnumz has jumped on an Amapiano beat, but “Tse Monate” marks the first time he has lent his vocals to a production crafted by some of South Africa’s leading Amapiano forces. And guys, this collaboration is massive and feels like it was made in melodic heaven. Take a bite below!
