Rising forces, Tupla Double 0.7, Tshego Dee & Oceanbiller have linked up for a beautiful new song called “Unyaka Lo.”
The minds in the South African music scene are creative. Every now and then, they formulate sounds that are heavy, unique, and melodious, and the newest from the stables of Tupla Double 0.7 is a new subgenre of Amapiano called Acid Amapiano. Made up of the core essence of Amapiano, this new sound brings in new flair and twists, and for many who have always wanted to experience new melodies, this song gives us just that.
“Unyaka Lo” is a collaboration with vocalist Tshela RSA, while production assistance also came from the corners of Tshego Dee & Oceanbiller. On this particular delivery, they introduce TB-303 basslines into the Amapiano fabric, threading them alongside strings that evoke the golden era of Chicago House in the spirit of Larry Heard and Frankie Knuckles.
Whistles punctuate the drops with precision, while Tshela RSA’s vocals ride the groove with an irresistible, almost hypnotic pull. This one is heavy, and it’s a track you sure don’t want to sleep on.
