Two of the biggest vocalist to ever emerge from the South African music scene, Thatohatsi & Tracy are working on a joint album, UHAMBO, and this one will hit the shelves April 24.
Thatohatsi’s emergence in the Amapiano scene has been nothing short of a blessing. She arrived at a time when the genre needed revival, especially as many vocalists were beginning to derail. Instead of creating meaningful lyrics with purpose, some opted for repetitive piano sounds, ticks, and other non-verbal elements, simply to produce songs aimed at gaining a few seconds of fame on TikTok.
Thankfully, Thatohatsi stepped in to restore balance with her refined and rebranded musical style. Since her debut, she has consistently delivered solid productions that have cemented her status as a leading singer and songwriter in the industry.
Continuing her streak of quality releases, she has now teamed up with another talented vocalist, Tracy. Together, they are set to release a joint album titled “UHAMBO.”
“UHAMBO” will be available in stores on April 24 and is already being promoted by the singles “Injabulo” and “Galile,” the latter featuring MaWhoo, Maline Aura, and ShaunMusiq.
