For the year 2025, Umafikizolo’s
Uyoncengwa unyoko was crowned the song of the year and was followed by “Bengicela” by MaWhoo featuring GL_Ceejay, Thukuthela & Jazzworld and “Awungazi” by DJ Tira, Pcee & Campmasters Feat General C’mamane.
While Amapiano once dominated these charts in previous years, Maskandi, 3Step and Lekompo seems to be gradually pushing Amapiano records down the charts and it will only be a matter of time before any of these sounds become the face of South Africa.
