Yesterday, we revealed the tracklist of Umafikizolo’s next studio album, Amanyala, which was scheduled for release today, and to keep to schedule, we are here with the full album.
Umafikizolo is building a name for himself in the Maskandi scene. Since his emergence in the scene, the artist has gone on to concoct well-rounded blends of traditional and powerful Zulu-influenced chants and storytelling in his offerings, and with this, he has been able to create a growing series of dynamic tracks.
With the Uyoncengwa Unyoko hit single beginning to fade from the memories of some of his followers, it only makes sense that he drops another follow-up series of bangers. This way, his name gets renewed in many households, and his brand is called out at parties and taxi ranks.
To achieve this, he pieced together a collection of 12 tracks via Amanyala, and this one was solely composed by him, with lead and backing vocals also delivered by him. Not to flatter Umafikizolo, but in the six years since the start of his professional career, this album seems to be his most comprehensive to date, and there is a reason for that.
