The Bhampa remix comes in three flavours: the Gqom remix by DJ Tira & Woza Bakzin, the Afro remix by AVG & BADBOX, and lastly, the remix by Kidflo & Janakey. To ensure they delivered a unique experience to their listeners, the Bhampa remix saw each of them open the track with their individual flavours, derived from their respective genre origins, while keeping the cinematic and soulful energy of the original intact.
The remix culture has almost been forgotten, and this trend must not be allowed to continue, as remixes have been one of the reasons why the South African music scene differs greatly from others across the continent.
