Dlala Thukzin & Sun-El Musician’s full performance at the Red Bull Symphonic 2026 was energetic, and for once, we experienced Afro House in another perspective.
Like I always say, artists’ performances at clubs and their live music performances at Red Bull Symphonic are different, and the difference is vast. At Symphonic, they bring all their craft, experience, and creativity into delivering outstanding performances, and as a result, we usually gain a better understanding of their sound.
A couple of weeks ago, Dlala Thukzin & Sun-El Musician had their performance at Red Bull Symphonic 2026, and for the first time in a while, we got to experience the beauty of Afro House through the lens of its pioneers in South Africa, and we were glad to witness such a once-in-a-lifetime event.
The show saw both Dlala Thukzin & Sun-El Musician perform some of their favourite songs, and the complex, large-scale musical compositions of the instrumental band, as well as the harmony they created, broadened our perspective of Afro House.
