Lady Du Apologises For Criticising Tyla Met Gala 2024 Outfit

Lady Du has apologised to Tyla and her fans for criticising her Met Gala 2024 outfit. In an Instagram post that went viral, Lady Du was seen criticising Tyla’s outfit, arguing that she would have slayed more if she wore an African Print instead of the custom sand outfit prepared by olivier rousteing.

“Imagine if she came wearing AFRICAN print or maxhosa!!!! That would have been a show stopper but this also is 🔥🔥,” she posted.

This didn’t go well with the fans of Tyla who thought Lady Du had no basic knowledge of the Met Gala event, hence her ignorant statement. Apologising to Tyla and her fans, Lady Du has issued a statement saying that she meant no harm and that she has always been a big fan of the Water hitmaker.

“Guys let me apologise I didn’t know what the theme or occasion was, I saw after I commented. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m a huge supporter of local brands I commented without knowing what’s going on as y’all know I don’t do red carpet events at all. I’m not informed on a lot of things. I’m literally a plain Jane nje. If I offended anyone by mentioning maxhosa askies ❤️❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 have a great day. 🙌🏼😍😍😍😍😍.. I love tyla y’all know I’ve been supporting her way before water ❤️❤️❤️ like every other artist I post on my wall. Danko 🙏🙏🙏 I only go on socials to post my things if I come across something I’ll comment, like or share. I support everyone 🙏.” – she wrote on her twitter wall.

Tyla got the attention of everyone at the Met Gala 2024 with her sand moulded gown, referencing sands of time. The dress was designed by olivier rousteing.
