In close to four years, Nobantu Vilakazi hasn’t given us a proper hit. While she has released a couple of singles over the past couple of years, none has been able to attain the success of her chart topping single, “Vula Mlomo” with Sir Trill & Nobantu Vilakazi. Well, all that is about to end as she intends to break all previous records with her newest single “Abafana Base Goli,” featuring DBN Gogo, Lady Du, TMan Xpress, Felo Le Tee & Fake’Well.
In the South African music scene, collaboration is essential to the survival of any musical career. While many artists have shined through solo productions, the works that continue to stand out are those enriched by contributions from other talents. This is the advantage Nobantu Vilakazi leans on.
Given that she needed support and assistance to create songs capable of breaking previous records and placing her back at the top echelons of the industry and on the path to stardom, she enlisted the talents of DBN Gogo, Lady Du, TMan Xpress, Felo Le Tee, and Fake’Well.
Since the start of the decade, Nobantu Vilakazi and some of these featured artists have collaborated extensively, mastering the art of crafting catchy Amapiano singles with strong dancefloor appeal, and this release is no exception.
