The family of DJ Luu has announced the passing of the DJ, entertainer, and music icon in a statement released today.
Born Daluxolo Sithole, DJ Luu was one of the most iconic figures in house music. His presence brought significant growth to the house music scene, as well as joy to many people, especially through SOGA Events, an organisation he co-founded with other members of the trio Golden Boys. SOGA acted as a centre for excellence and also one of the biggest corners in the house music and events industry.
The cause of his sudden death was not disclosed, but the family has asked for privacy and time to mourn their son.
Until his death, DJ Luu was a loving father, devoted son, caring brother, and a remarkable music act. Not only was he a pillar of strength to his family, but he was also a source of joy to many house music lovers in the country.
