For the first time in a long while, the biggest forces in the Hip-hop music scene, Ruff, Emtee, Sjava & Saudi have aligned for a comprehensive album, “The Trap Temptations.”
Unnecessary beef and competition contributed to the decline of Hip-hop in South Africa. While Amapiano producers were working hand in hand, Hip-hop figures were releasing diss track upon diss track and isolating themselves in a scene that needed collaboration and partnerships. The result? The steady decline of Hip-hop in the South African music space, leaving it unable to occupy the position it held for years.
Well, there is good news. Artists have learned from their past mistakes, and they now do everything within their power to align, as we can see with Ruff, Emtee, Sjava & Saudi on their newest collaborative release, “The Trap Temptations.”
“The Trap Temptations” is a collection of 10 tracks that showcases their individual strengths across various sounds and melodies, and for those who have lost faith in Hip-hop music in South Africa, this one serves as a reawakening.
