This tape was a reminder that while we must embrace the constant changes needed to elevate the status of Amapiano, we shouldn’t be in a hurry to discard the genre’s original essence and earlier rhythms.
The mixtape, which ran for over an hour, saw the late legend blend both old and newer sounds and styles. The result was a mixtape that was both hard-hitting and melodious.
