DJ Maphorisa has marked the The Lawd’s Garden session register and as expected, he delivered a thorough mixtape.
DJ Maphorisa is a renowned Amapiano producer and DJ known for his heavy-hitting sound and energetic performances. Aside from being a big name in the industry, he is one of the reasons why the Amapiano genre has been able to break into the international music mainstream.
Although not a pioneer of the genre, his alliances with the brains behind the sound have been among the most natural the music world has seen, and it’s for this reason that he has maintained a steady lead in the genre.
Taking the gospel of Amapiano to more ears and souls, he recently mounted the decks at The Lawd’s Garden Corners, and this one was captured by the HUE SERIES. On this tape, DJ Maphorisa showed why he is often regarded as the Ronaldo of SA music, displaying perfect skills behind the decks. His transitions, timing, and track selection are all superb and hook you in within the first few seconds of hitting the play button.
