This is a proud moment for Hip-hop community. Seeing the assemblage of the genre’s finest talents is one dream come through for many of us and we have Rush-Awa to be thankful for. Out everywhere today is “Streetz” a collaboration with Usimamane, Blxckie & Nasty C.
Rush-Awa, made up of MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe, has just delivered a solid collection of bangers that sees them pay tribute to themselves. On this project, they bring together the originators, the present, and the future of hip-hop for an evolutionary sequence that could change the South African hip-hop landscape.
Rush-Awa comes packed with 15 tracks, and one record you shouldn’t sleep on is “Streetz,” which sees MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe team up with some of the finest forces in the hip-hop scene. By finest, I mean Usimamane, Blxckie, and Nasty C.
“Streetz” is a standout record, and by standout, I mean every verse hits the mark. However, the one that had us shouting was Nasty C, who went wild with his freestyle verse.
Notable quote from the song:
“If I give you a verse for free, then your baby mama owe me a HEAD.”
