From “Katalia” to “Akalaleli” to “Woz’obona,” Mr JazziQ has consistently supplied us with nothing but bangers this year and with this fact on ground, we can say he is the “Coolest in the City.” And this statement he celebrates with his newest album.
It’s easier for people to claim legendary status in the Amapiano scene, but being in the scene for ages doesn’t necessarily mean one is a veteran. A lot is considered before we can truly say that, yes, this person is a veteran, and one of the things we look at is the person’s contribution to the vibrancy of the genre they claim to be a legend in.
Without a robust catalogue, then obviously, you can’t be the Coolest in the City, and it’s reasons like that that we have always retained the top spot for Mr JazziQ. Even during his days with Josiah De Disciple via their JazziDisciples group, he contributed greatly to the band, and even now that he flies solo, he has continued to drop some of the biggest tracks the Amapiano scene has ever seen. With this in mind, it’s easy to see why he is the Coolest in the City at the moment.
“Coolest in the City” is his newest collection of bangers, and this one holds 11 tracks, boasting collaborations with the likes of Don Deeya, Thesiix, Lemaza, Magwe ZA, A.W.O, Freddy K and De Rose. Take a dose below!
