Gone are the days when Maskandi sound was only consumed by local Zulu people. Continuing to push the boundaries of this traditional sound, Mthandeni SK has teamed up Amapiano vocal queen MaWhoo for this supercharged single called ‘Gucci.’
Mthandeni SK is one of Maskandi’s leading figure. The numbers of bangers he has blessed the scene with is uncountable. Introducing the melodious traditional sound to more younger listeners, he’s out today with this Mawhoo assisted track called ‘Gucci’ and this one is a perfect example of what the notorious hitmaker is capable of in the studio.
It’s almost disingenuous at this point to say Maskandi artist aren’t making it big in the Amapiano music scene, because before you count two Amapiano hits with large numbers of streams, you’d have a Maskandi hit nearby.
‘Gucci’ is another explosive Maskandi offering and this one is by far Mthandeni SK’s most beautiful release yet, enlisting one of Amapiano’s most prized possession towards one common goal, which is to create something positive, that both Maskandi and Amapiano listeners can easily dance to.
