Mfr Souls’ Love You Tonight Hits Double Platinum

Mfr Souls’ 2019 hit single, Love You Tonight has just gone double platinum, the song was off their The Beginning EP featuring DJ Maphorisa, Sha Sha and Kabza De Small.

An album or a track go double platinum once it has hit a certain number of sales which varies from country to country, depending on the population.

Here in South Africa, For a single to be certified Gold status it should have sold over 15,000 units, and 30,000 units for Platinum status, to be certified diamond, it would need to achieve sales of 200,000 copies. This was according to the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) as modified in December 1st 2015.

For “Love You Tonight” to be certified Double platinum, it means it sold twice of platinum, that is, the song sold 60000 copies.
