Some days back, T-Man the vocalist called out his record label, Shaya Records which is owned by Mr Thela and Mshayi for negligence and exploitation. In a post shared by the young vocalist, he accused his label of not doing anything to improve on his financial situation especially now that his father isn’t in a good state due to some health challenges.
He also accused the label of delaying his album despite everything in place for the album to be out. Shaya Records has come out to release an official statement addressing the issues raised by T-Man.

Shaya Records’ humble beginnings recognises the importance of groommg young talent from prevaously disadvantaged backgrounds, hence the blooming relationship with talented Durban born artist, T-Man. As a vocalist. T-Man has collaborated with the DJ duo Mshayi and Mr Thela in contributing to the success of their album, Making Cape Town Great Again and to the general success of the record label. It is due to thus success that T-Man started working on his project which was set for release in 2020.
The global pandemic has shifted goalposts for many organisations in what has been coined as “the new normal” thus does not mean that Shaya Records has neglected any of its artists Including T-Man. There is no doubt that T-Man is a valuable member of the team and his Interests are considered from a financial and normal career growth perspective. His latest single, Ellnyithuba, has been released and we are pleased and excited to see the love and support you have already showed the single thus far. T-Man is a hard worker and has new music which Shaya Records is currently working on to put together his full album. The details of the release will be communicated accordingly.
