Kwaito lyricist Magesh has passed on. The vocalist, performer and entertainer whose real name is Tokollo Tshabalala died earlier today as a result of an epileptic seizure.
Untill his demise, he was a major contributor to the Kwaito sound and an influential figure in the entire music scene. May his soul rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that the family wishes to confirm the passing of Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala.
Magesh, as he was affectionately known, passed away this morning as a result of an epileptic seizure.
The family requests for privacy during this difficult period.
